Improving Our Internal Processes

Overview

Over the course of the year, we continued to make improvements to our internal processes and arrangements to better enable and support ComSuper's business objectives.

Our governance arrangements aim to ensure we manage well and meet or exceed our regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations. ComSuper's governance framework was significantly enhanced over 2007-08 with greater substance and coherence across the framework.

Important areas of improvement have been our audit and assurance framework, our business planning processes and our security and privacy arrangements. The key aspects of our governance arrangements and achievements are set out below.

During the year, the critical information technology (IT) projects that led to the creation of the ComSuper Improvement Programme (CIP) Group were delivered, including Better Super initiatives and fund allocation for the CSS and PSS Schemes. As a result, the CIP Group was dissolved and the ongoing IT maintenance was incorporated within the Information Technology Solutions Group.
