Dear Minister,
I have pleasure in providing to you the Annual Report for 2007-08 on the general administration of ComSuper. The report has been prepared in accordance with the Requirements for Annual Reports, approved on behalf of the Parliament by the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit as required under section 63(2) of the Public Service Act 1999.
This report also covers the general administration and operation of the Superannuation Act 1922 (which is described in Appendix D), as required by section 161A of the Superannuation Act 1976. Appendix D to this document also includes a report on the administration and operation of Parts V (Superannuation) and IX (Miscellaneous) of the Papua New Guinea (Staffing Assistance) Act 1973. It is presented to you in accordance with section 21 of that Act.
You are required to cause a copy of the report to be laid before each House of Parliament within 15 sitting days after you receive it, but, in any event, not later than 31 October 2008.
