Floods may affect pensions paid via credit unions
The Reserve Bank of Australia has advised that pensioners who receive fortnightly superannuation pensions via a credit union may unfortunately experience delays in receiving their pensions which are due to be deposited in their accounts in the week commencing 10th January.
Flooding and power disruptions in the Brisbane CBD are continuing to impact Credit Union Australia's Brisbane Headquarters and this is currently affecting their internet site and online banking.
Therefore it is possible that members who have credit union accounts may not receive their funds this week.
